This Ramadan go for something oriental at the Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant with their halal Cantonese cuisine.
The scrumptious delicacies are served steaming hot.
The delectable spread features nine signature dishes from RM498 to RM998, which makes up to RM49 per person for a special course meal for 10.
Some of the highlights are Shark’s Fin Soup with Fish Maw and Sea Cucumber, Crispy Boneless Chicken with Mongolian Sauce, Braised Seasonal Vegetables with Broccoli, Wok Fried Prawns with crispy Oats and Pompret Fish Salted Vegetables.
The man behind the creative creations is head chef Lee Kum Weng, who has over 20 years of experience.
He said the food had Japanese, French and Vietnam influences.
For example, Lee has added wasabi to the Wok Fried Prawns with Crispy Oats.
“My Mongolian Sauce is my own creation of several ingredients and as for the crispy chicken, I have used mixed flour with egg to get the crunchy texture.
“For the Pompret Fish Salted Vegetables, I cook the fish first before cooking the rest with the fish stock, salted vegetable and vinegar,” he said.
He said the inspiration for the menu came from his own experience dining at other restaurants.
For the RM498 set, the dishes featured are Shark’s Fin Soup, Crispy Boneless Chicken with Mongolian Sauce, Deep Fried Fillet of Fish in Bamboo Net, Wok Fried Prawns with Preserved Vegetables, Braised Seasonal Vegetables with Brocolli, Wok Fried Rice with Anchovies and Salted Fish, Homemade Red Bean Paste and Mini Custard Bun.
The RM638 set has Sharks Fin Soup with Fish Maw and Sea Cucumber, Baked Salted Chicken wrapped in Aluminium Foil, Deep Fried Mandarin Fish with Sour Plum Sauce, Fried Prawns with 3 Flavour Combination, Vegetarian Beancurd Skin Roll, Udon Noodles with Minced Chicken, Chilled Sea Coconut with Shaved Ice and Chinese Pastries Combination.
For the RM788 set, patrons will get Braised Crab Meat Shark’s Fin Soup Special, Baked Chicken with Cheese, Steamed Tuborg Dish “HK” Style, Wok Fried Prawns with Crispy Oats, Fried Rice with Abalone Sauce, Chilled Mango Sago and Chinese Pastries.
For the RM938 set, patrons can enjoy homemade appetiser platter, Braised Superior Sharks Fin Soup (individual portion), Chicken with Glutinous Rice, Pomfret Fish with Salted Vege, Crispy Sesame Prawns with Spicy Sauce, Otak Otak Beancurd, Italian Styled Tomato Noodles, Aloe Vera Dessert and Mini Pastries Duet.
The Ramadan promotional menu is available until the end of September.
