Johnnie Walker
Jet Black Party series
A SERIES of upcoming parties at different venues across Singapore, the Jet Black Party series will kick off with a Singapore Grand Prix pre-party on Sept 10 at Powerhouse (St James Powerstation).
Party-goers can step inside the glamorous world of F1 with complimentary Johnnie Walker drinks between 9 and 10pm, as well as the exclusive global debut screening of the first in a series of candid films of Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 team.
The Jet Black Party series will continue over the race weekend (Sept 25-26) at One On The Bund (Collyer Quay) where guests can party while watching a live screening of the race, with even more cocktails to enjoy.
The party at Powerhouse is open to the public but the two at One On The Bund are by invite only although consumers can stand to win invites through a number of competitions listed on www.stepinside.sg
Midnight Shift
TO KICK off the F1 season and in honour of its first anniversary, Midnight Shift - an invitation-only after-hours party - will be throwing a celebratory party at Stereolab on Sept 18 from 10pm all the way until 5.30am.
Join them as they shift to a higher gear with a "Mystery Legend" from Detroit who bridged House and Techno into a new world order alongside local heroes such as pioneering DJ Jonathan Yeo and Xhin (above), now a European favourite charted by anyone from Laurent Garnier to Speedy J.

Racing simulation
IF YOU'VE ever wondered what it's like to be in the hot seat of an F1 race car driver, then head down to St James Power Station from Sept 22 to 25 to try your hand at one of two racing simulators at the alfresco area. Cheerleaders and checkered flags not included.
Red Bull Night Race
A UNIQUE concept that will transform Le Noir (Clarke Quay) into a race track where guests can experience what it's like to be in a pit crew during the Red Bull Pit Stop Game.
The game gives partygoers a chance to do a wheel change at the F1 chassis. The fastest "pit crew member" stands the chance to win a VIP invite to the Red Bull Racing garage tour.
The Red Bull Pit Stop Game will be making its way to Le Noir in Clarke Quay from Sept 20 to 23. To participate in the Pit Stop Game, simply purchase 2 x Red Bull Vodka (At Le Noir or Attica)
Zouk
DURING the Grand Prix Season Singapore, Zouk will be hosting a GH Mumm F1 night with French electronic DJ and producer Martin Solveig on Sept 24 at Zouk.
Look out also for Montreal-born DJ and producer Tiga (born Tiga James Sontag, above) who will be playing at Zouk on Sept 25. He will play at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre prior to his gig at Zouk as well.

The Butter Factory
CATCH American hip-hop rapper Chingy live at The Butter Factory's Bump room on Sept 24 where he will perform hits the likes of "Right Thurr" and "Balla Baby".

Tanjong Beach Club
IF BURNING rubber ain't quite your thing, why not head down to Tanjong Beach Club (Sentosa) for a sultry Beach Carnival from 2pm to 10pm on Sept 25 complete with barbeque, massages, live music, stilt walkers and sand castles? American electronic musician The Juan Maclean will be coming on to entertain from sunset to sundown and so this promises to be a full-day affair.
Red in My Head
BRIAN Tiong and Paul Tan of the collective POOL (http://www.poolatwork.com/) and the men behind the music blog (http://www.rightclicka.com/) will be throwing an invitation-only party for 500 of Singapore's most influential movers and shakers and party animals called Red In My Head on Sept 24.
The party's location is currently still under wraps but word is that it will be an outdoor soiree with DJ collective Top Billin from Helsinki who will be spinning against a stunning 3D backdrop/show created by eight invited motion graphics artists who will showcase their interpretation of F1 on a large 100-foot wall. The Official Lounge at Stereolab
CATCH American actress and Playboy columnist Suzy McCoppin (right) who will host the official F1 after race party on Sept 26 at Stereolab. Celebrities and race drivers are also expected to make their appearances there if you want to get some red carpet action.

Avalon At Large
NEW music venue Avalon will open at the Marina Bay Sands Resort & Casino next year, but it's kicking things off even before it has a permanent venue.
Billing itself as Avalon At Large, it is holding a two-day festival GO! on Sept 23-34 in conjunction with the Singapore GP. Acclaimed performers like Empire Of The Sun, Chemical Brothers and Above & Beyond will be taking the stage. More than half the tickets have already been sold out.

G.H.Mumm Dining Experience
THE official F1 champagne, G.H.Mumm, is collaborating with chefs Vincent Teng of Table 66 and Julien Bompard of Le Saint Julien to offer special champagne pairing food menus at both establishments. Prized champagnes G.H. Mumm Vintage 1999, Cordon Rouge and Rose will be served.
The five-course menu is available for both lunch and dinner, and costs $268 per person. It runs till Sept 23
Digital Nights Singapore 2010
ARTIST Tom Carr will be displaying a free public digital installation called A Red Carpet For Orchard Road (right) at the walkway in front of Ngee Ann City.
It will run 7.30pm-11pm daily from Sept 17 to 26, and comprises a red carpet that's projected onto the ground so everyone can interact with it and walk on the digital red carpet.
The installation is part of Digital Nights Singapore 2010, which is supported by STB, Mica and the Orchard Road Business Association.
Amber Lounge
THE VIP Amber Lounge, which follows the GP around the world every season, returns this year on Sept 25-26 at the Temasek Water Wall behind Millenia Walk.
