Fans of the old Satay Club can look forward to the opening of Satay by the Bay at a new megapark in Marina Bay.

Reminiscent of the former Satay Club at the Esplanade, the new joint was one of three eateries unveiled at the Gardens by the Bay yesterday.

The other two were casual-dining place Supertree Grove and mid- to high-end restaurant Pollen, which boasts a chef from a Michelin-starred restaurant.

The three eateries are part of 13 planned food-and-beverage spaces spread across a 54ha section of the garden development called Bay South Garden.

Satay by the Bay will be a casual-dining space with over 20 food stalls offering local delights, such as satay and hokkien mee, at $4 to $7 per person.

The outdoor eatery will be set beneath green roofs with natural ventilation, and will overlook the Marina Bay waterfront.

At the more up- market Supertree Grove, cuisines offered will include those from Peach Garden Noodle House and Hill Street Coffee Shop. Meals will go for $6 to $15 per person.

The indoor joint will boast live trees within its premises, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows that look out into the garden.

For diners who crave Mediterranean-inspired modern European cuisince, they can head to Pollen. Located at the garden's Flower Dome, meals there will go for $14 to $38 per person.

Diners will be able to visit these three eateries, along with five other proposed dining outlets, in June next year when Bay South Garden officially opens.

Dr Tan Wee Kiat, chief executive of Gardens by the Bay, said the 13 food-and-beverage dining spaces at the garden aims "to cater to every layer of the community".
