Ding Liangyou, 85, the owner of a small grocery store in Nantong, Jiangsu, has been serving passersby free patchouli tea every summer for 6 years.

Every day during the summer time, Ding carries water from a well, picks patchouli leaves and makes tea. He puts a board outside of his store that says 'We don't sell tea, come sit and have one for free'.

It has become a habit for Ding to serve free tea. His son has told him many times that he should retire but Ding is still doing what he wants to do.

"It's just a small thing that I can do to help people, it's no big deal," said Ding.
