Asian Masters returns with Best of Asian Cuisines
Asian Masters is back for its third edition from Nov 1 to 30 and this year.

Asian Masters is back for its third edition from Nov 1 to 30 and this year, it will be partnering a few of the best dining establishments in Singapore.

This year, Iggy’s, Restaurant Andre, Les Amis Group, TungLok Group, Grand Hyatt Singapore, The Fullerton Hotel and Patara Fine Thai Cuisine will be joining the event to deliver higher calibre wines and new pairing concepts.

Highlights to look out for will be the first Oriental Exotic Game Dinner with premium Shui Jing Fang Baijiu at Tong Le Private Dining on Nov 29.

This fresh concept pairs seasonal exotic game such as crocodile and pheasant with the Chinese wine, a must-try for adventurous foodies and diners game enough for a food adventure. The event is priced at $358++ per guest.

Wine enthusiasts can get to meet the winemaker of Cos d’Estournel at Iggy’s on Nov 26. The famed 200-year-old vineyard is a Second Growth Grand Cru Classe (1855 Classification) and the highest classified estate in Saint-Estephe.

Mr J.G. Prats, chief executive officer of the estate, will be introducing six vintages to be paired with Iggy’s specially crafted menu for this one-night only dinner, priced at $338++ per guest.

For meat lovers, Japan ‘Meats’ France lets diners enjoy both Kagoshima Beef and Kurobuta Pork at Japanese-inspired steakhouse Fat Cow on Nov 14. Paired with a selection of fine wines from Louis Latour, this is meat lovers’ nirvana, and is priced at $198++ per guest.

Another first for Asian Masters this year is the pairing of Vietnamese cuisine with German Riesling at Annam Vietnamese Cuisine, happening on Nov 14.

Chef Nguyen Quoc Nam will be creating a five course dinner menu for this pairing of Egon Muller, one of the renowned producers of Rieslings in the world. The event is priced at $158++ per guest.

From Nov 1-14, Asian Masters will be featuring Hyderabadi cuisine for the first time under Gourmet Signatures.

Chef Thulasidaran Dayalan, who hails from Park Hyatt Hyderabad, will be presenting to diners signature dishes such as dum biryani with lamb, chicken, seafood and vegetarian for lunch and dinner at StraitsKitchen, Grand Hyatt.

Famed husband and wife team Bo.lan from Bangkok will be here in Singapore for the first time, showing guests their take of traditional Thai fare at Patara Fine Thai Cuisine from Nov 21 to 27 for lunch and dinner.

For those curious about bio-dynamic wines, Chef Andre from award-winning restaurant Andre has specially crafted a six to eight course menu for a one-night only event on Nov 7 that pairs seasonal produce with the wines from Artisan Cellars. This event is priced at $368++ per guest.

Pairing of hairy crabs with champagne will be back and this year, it is paired with Champagne Louis Roederer at Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck at Paragon on Nov 20.

Traditional Chinese delicacies will be specially paired with Martell Cordon Blue at My Humble House on Nov 22. This is another crowd pleaser with Chef Ken Ling and Chef David Liew from the Tung Lok Group presenting their delicacies.

The Master’s Workshops will also be happening at the Atrium of Great World City from Nov 2 to 4 at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm.

Fifteen local chefs will be taking centre stage with a series of intimate cooking demonstrations.
