What’s the buzz:
Canele’s venture into the city continues with its latest and biggest outlet at Raffles City, with 74 seats. The natural light from the sky ceiling and sprays of water from the reflection pool makes for a calming nook, where even the most incurable shopaholic will be tempted to tarry and soak up the café’s relaxing ambience.

Another outlet at Shaw Centre opens in mid-June.

What’s on the menu:

Self-confessed sweet-tooth chef Pang Kok Keong whips up an extensive assortment of breads, pastries, confectionaries and chocolates, together with salads, soups, sandwiches and pastas. A set lunch menu is also available.

What to try:
Savour the Chic Choc dessert crepe, a magnificently generous crepe loaded with goodies such as chocolate ice-cream, warm chocolate sauce and vanilla crème chantilly.

Or nibble on the Classic French Toast from the All-Day Breakfast menu, made with orange raisin brioche and served with crème chantilly.
