Swing By For Free Desserts for Mums at the NEW 3-Monkeys Cafe @ Holland Village!
Posted by: greedygumdrop on May 09, 2009
Home in sunny Singapore for Mothers Day, I discover a new jungle-themed restaurant that has taken root at Holland Village - the 3-Monkeys Cafe where kids can go ape, especially if you are looking for a Mothers Day eatery that is kid friendly, has good eats and is offering free dessert for Mums and Grandmas (with every main course ordered) just for Saturday 9 May and Sunday 10 May.
Oh and have I forgotten to mention - they have NO PORK, NO LARD on their menus, which makes them "Swine-Flu Free" - ha,ha how much more can you ask for in terms of a marketing spin!

Food for the Soul!

On Sunday, my family stopped by a coffee shop in Tampines to have light lunch. I ordered 2 pieces of prata for my son from an Indian rojak/prata store. After 5 mins of waiting, I decided to go and picked up our own food since we were rushing (and I was glad I went to pick up)! When the store owner saw that I came, dropping his dollars notes and coins into the money box, without washing his hands, he 'chomped and hand picked' the prata onto a plate and passed it to me! I was shock of his hygiene! To think that the Geylang food poisoning saga is not totally over yet! I told him that I didn't want it anymore, and alerted him that he should keep his hands clean!
