Delectable December cakes and pastries
Friday, Dec 06, 2013
Christmas log cakes and festive pastries are making their rounds this time of the year.
And home-grown bakery BreadTalk has come up with a collection of holiday cakes and assorted ginger cookies to add some Christmas cheer.
The log cakes are available till Dec 25 and are open for pre-orders.
Customers can choose from flavours such as a chocolate chiffon cake with dark-chocolate mousse and a vanilla chiffon cake with a strawberry filling.
The cakes are packed in carousel-themed boxes with illustrations of Santa and his helpers on a merry wonderland ride to match the season.
The traditional Christmas fruit cake ($9.80) and ginger cookies ($2.30 each or five for $10) - in shapes like a gingerbread man, a Christmas tree and a Christmas stocking - are also on sale.
From now until next Friday, customers who pre-order the Christmas cakes can enjoy a $10 discount.
UOB credit-card holders get to enjoy 15 per cent off the Christmas cakes till Dec 25.
